The Brilliance of Yoovi’s Launch on Yevvo
Israeli Startup Live Streaming Their Launch
I am sitting here watching Yoovi launching live on YEVVO. It’s brilliant from the perspective that there is a group of people excitedly watching numbers grow as Eytan Levit, CEO and founder of the photo sharing app await for 20,000 signups so that they can secure a round of funding.
There are a lot of photo sharing apps out there. What makes Yoovi unique is that it is designed for parents. As noted in their promotional video, parents do not want to share on Facebook due to privacy issues, messaging systems kill photo quality, Instagram limits each share to one photo, Dropbox turns into an abyss in which your photos are lost and Email….stinks. Enter Yoovi, the first photo sharing app designed for parents, by parents.
They apparently have a deal with some unnamed investors. If the team can prove that 20,000 parents are interested in the app, a round of funding will be secured. They created a KickStarter-type page to track the amount of email addresses collected. They’re broadcasting live using YEVVO so users can watch them in a reality-tv style inside look of what happens while a startup is eagerly awaiting a launch.
You can watch it live, via YEVVO, here.
